Skydance Paramount Set to Eliminate Around 2,000 American Positions – News
Skydance Paramount will initiate significant workforce reductions the week of 27 October, cutting about 2,000 positions in the United States under a budget-saving initiative totaling $2bn under CEO David Ellison.
The layoffs come after the merger of Skydance Media and Paramount Global, finalized in August with a value of $8.4bn.
Further international job cuts are anticipated, with the company aiming to announce complete information during its Q3 financial results scheduled for November 10.
Earlier reports stated that Paramount was looking to reduce from 2,000 and 3,000 jobs by the beginning of next month.
Until December 2024, the company employed almost 18,600 permanent and temporary staff and 3,500 temporary project employees.
Paramount Skydance has not yet commented on the matter.
