Applauding the swift-response of those at the temple, he said: "I saw true courage, I must declare, and worshippers who hurried to aid fellow members rather than running away. It was astonishing."

- Several people are still in the hospital with critical harm.
- Police have identified the attacker, who was killed at the scene, as the attacker and are classifying the incident as a terror event.
"I saw wickedness": Rabbi Daniel Walker recounts time of synagogue incident
Rabbi Walker mentioned that the occurrence happened before the holiday service was in full swing, and later there would have been hundreds of people in the congregation.
He remarked: "Unless one gentleman in especial hadn't acted as promptly as he succeeded and got the gateways closed, we can picture what would have transpired."
Recounting how the incident unfolded, he stated a group of people maintained the entrances closed from the interior to ensure the assailant did not gain entry.
Eventually after the law enforcement arrived, the spiritual leader stated two further individuals inside the building were hurt.
A person was fatally shot and another person wounded by police shots, local authorities has reported.
A announcement from the force designated the individual fatally shot by police as Mr Daulby.
Conversing to media, rabbi Walker said he would try his utmost to offer solace to the loved ones of those deceased and the larger society.
"We feel apprehension but there is also support", he said.
"I think and trust that we can provide reassurance and faith. I feel very firmly that we can't let this to defeat us".
The government leader and witnesses have applauded the cleric and the protection staff as "heroes" for their actions.
When inquired if he saw himself as a courageous individual, he said: "I doubt that is accurate".
However, a observer at the site mentioned the spiritual leader had been calm throughout as he and others directed the congregation to safety.
The relatives of the victim has also paid tribute to their "hero" who passed away during "the deed of valor to protect others".
"The loved ones is surprised by the devastating, sudden death of such a lovely down to earth man" the message continued, as the relatives requested for solitude to mourn.
